(Home) Rear wiper / idle up switch

My 1990 Super Extra does not have an intermittent setting for the rear wiper. I see from the user manual that this is a feature dependant on model, is the wiring for this in place and if so is it just a matter of changing the switch or do i need to get a relay too? If not has anyone ever done a retro-fit?

I have an idle up switch that I believe is for incresing idle speed to heat up the engine quicker in winter. Is there a relay for this anywhere as all my fuses are ok and nothing happens when I switch it on. The switch seems to operate when tested with a multimeter.

For the idle up to work the fan has to be switched on...and I only know this through fiddling around with all the switches!

I fitted an intermittent relay to mine. Came off a Peugeot as I recall. The only problem was connecting into the washer circuit to tell the relay to hold in after the washer is used. Toyota's are earth- switched, so it meant another relay to interface with the timer relay...
