(Home) Relay probs (Sp+)

Hi, I bought a 'G' reg Spacecruiser about two months ago and all things were going well (albeit thirstily)until last night. Switched lights on and I had side lights but no head lights. I know that there is a relay for them that seemed to be operating properly but still nothing. I had a look at both fusebox and relay station, couldn't see anything wrong, that is until i wiggled one relay and Presto! lights. So got ready to go went to wind the drivers leccy window down, nothing!, please help,,,,,,I love our van and wouldn't like to get so fed up that I would want to pass it on.

More likely earth of shorting probs. Clean any earth body contacts, check wires for shorts is the best I can say. Could try remove replacing fuses sometimes works (make sure you get the correct rating back in!).

I Had a similar problem on a space crusier and could not find the caues after carrying out the same checks

evently called Auto electrian who told me about fuse box circut brakers and second fuse box on bulk head behind drivers seat with special fuses

My problem was the circut breaker, which he fixed by incerted a pionted screwdriver in the hole of the pin hole circutbreaker and reset it !
Problem solved the circut breakers are in the normal fuse box rectangular with rounded ends
polisied silver tops and a small pin hole.

good luck

thanks for the advice clive. as you see i have got it sorted out by removing the glove compartment and pushing the multi plugs back in securely. this may be worth noting for other owners, these plugs can and obviously do at times work loose.
yet again thanks go to you clive.
now for my other problems..........................
