has anyone got a spare taildoor catch/lock, the spring mechanism has died! any info appreciated re repair or replacement experience... model 1987 'e' townace efi.

Same as Spacecruiser, try a few breakers. Easy to replace once you have a good one. Have you taken it apart to see if it can be repaired?

Hey, wasn't this posted twice? (Ooh, confusing!)
I just thought, the latch went on my Liteace a while ago, Do you think it could be the spring, Clive? I thought it might have been the Latch itself.

Maybe the spring, or as was the case with mine, one of the pivots. Not sold separately by Toyota so breakers was my first option. Take it apart and have a look.
