on my newly acquired g reg masterace surf the off side back window is made from tinted acrylic/polycarbonate should it be glass like the rest? Also i too have the 'overheating problem' together with an oil leak, i suspect it is the head gasket as the heater is cold as well, how does the cylinder block sealant work and is it successful? I have 3 kids and no spare time really and need a quick inexpensive solution.

No, all the windows should be glass. Try the Goldups under "Townace shortly going to the scrap man". Last time I was there, the Os rear window was still there.

If my memory serves me well, this is the one that overheated on the return trip from London back in October. What advice have you followed so far? have you changed the thermostat or radiator cap? What colour is the coolant? are there any leaks, or puddles of coolant under the van?
