(Home)Exhaust manifold thread stripped

Can anyone help me, my manifold gasket was blowing so i got a new gasket. following instructions on here how to take floor out ect had no probs ....until we found out that the reason its blowing is that one of the threads on the manifold have been stripped. we havent got the time to get the thread redone due to a 320 mile round trip for christmas. we have also only just had a whole new exhaust fitted. does anyone have any ideas of what we can do without getting the thread redone?????

If it's a bolt thread into the head then a helicoil replacement would be quickest, local garage should be able to let you know who can do it for you.
If it's exhaust to manifold then a new stud from Toyota is about 50p complete with new nut.
Don't take a chance on exhaust paste you could end up gassing yourself!

PLus it's not unusual for the manifold to warp enough that trying to tighten it will strip threads. Best get the manifold checked for flatness too.
