How much pressure? Does it overflow?

Hello Frank,
This sounds like a dodgy radiator cap. The latest Toyota cap with a float is best, part number 16401-64501. If you can’t get this due to the Christmas break, then a cap with 0.9 Bar or 13.5 Psi will do for a short time.

Hope that helps

Hi Frank,
You will have to ask yourself why the head blow again,i blow 2 head gaskit last year and it was down to my bottom rad was blocked and over heating the head

what townace have you got as only 4x4 have 2 rads and i remember the rad company who re-cored my bottom rad said it has much finer pipes then the main rad,you must be careful if you use rad weld as it can block this rad,you will need to locate the problem of the over heating and my bet is on a blocked rad or leak.

it cost me £350 to have both my rads taken out recored and fitted and £1300 to have a brand new head fitted
