(Home) Mot work

Okay, after the MOT test on my Litie, I was given a few advisory notices (not fails, but they needed attention). The more serious ones are wear in the front wheel bearings, the O/S/F upper balljoint, and the rear anti roll bar bushes. I can get the bits from BBC's okay, but I'm not going to let the repairers do it after what I have already spent! (Shocking amount!)
So, how easy is all this to do?

Al

Front wheel bearings - check first before you buy. They may simply have detected some play rather than wear (you would need a detailed inspection to determine the difference). Easy enough job.

Front upper balljoint - relatively easy on the 2WD and parts easy to source without going to a dealer.

Rear anti-roll bar bushes - did they say which? the cotton-bobbin type or the others? Again easy and not much to buy.

Let me know if you want any references from the manuals and I'll send you them on.

Looking again at this list, it only says there is play in the bearings as well as the balljoint, so no panic there.
The only thing it says about the bushes are the droplink - whatever that means, so I'll have a look myself.
Apart from that, all it needs are some replacement front brake hoses (I'll replace the pads and fluid while I'm at it, it's about that time!), and a cracked rear light/indicator lens. Pretty academic stuff for someone who can replace the oil and filters on these motors with no problems. Thanks for the info, Ian.
