(Home) Viscose to electric fan

Can anyone tell me.

any one had or installed electric fan and how did it work,i have been told that it keeps the running temp below that of the viscose fan,

1,what are the advantage of converting to electric

2,can you buy in kit form and how much

3,i am having a new water pump fitted soon would i be well advised to have it converted at the same time ?

4,has anyone had a convertion and are you happy with it

5,any down sides to having electric fan

6,what is the running temp of 2ct engine

Dennis, this has been discussed a number of times. Some have used s/h fans, some new. It WILL free up some power and improve mpgs, as well as improving access to the front of the engine. On the downside, it's up to you to figure out a way of controlling the fan. I had a 2-speed setup, Jim Adgo was working on a variable speed system, some people have just used an ignition controlled feed.

Oh, and you can do it at any time- the only reason the floor even has to come up to do it is to get the old cowling out...

Plenty of good info in the archives...

thanks david

I will look into the archives

I have been talking to my brother who tells me that he has seen a kit that has been design to cut into top hose with a 3way T and a senor is inserted into T which must control the speed of the fan.
i will look into it and when i find it i will post it to bok
