(Home) Possible Townace manuals

Hi Everybody.
As you have probably heard me mention on here that we drive a Spacecruiser, well I had a chat to the parts person at my local Toyota Dealer about Townace Manuals. And he gave me the name of a firm called KAYA,apperently they translate manuals and they are available off the shelf,There is a phone number for anybody who wants to try,no idea of any address, TEL:
02476318729.He is almost certain that they do manuals already translated into english. Don't know if they do them for others,(MasterAce,etc, etc), No harm in trying.
Here's hoping it helps

Handbooks only, not workshop manuals, and for 94-97 models only.

Hi clive.
Sorry that didn't work out, must have disappionted a lot of people also been in touch with Haynes the manual people, spoke to their tech dept.
They reckon that the SpaceCruiser never sold 50,000 models, also that they don't do a manual for that reason, also they don't do one for TownAce because of so many variants and that the info is not available from Toyota (uk).
So I did try for you guys, but I'll keep trying and see what I can find out.
All the best

Nice sentiment Andy but some of us have been around a while and already done the leg work. Other than the Russian manual, Townace tech manuals don't exist. There's the 2C engine manual of course but after that there's only the US van manual that covers some parts of the vehicle including suspension, gearbox and aircon. These sometimes come up for sale on e-bay. The owners manual translation refers to the newer shape model and is available from various sources.

As for the SpaceCruiser, there's the Toyota engine and bodywork manuals that Clive and I have but I believe are now out of print. But there is the Tarago manual still available in Australia which I think Dave Mason has noted on his website. I also have the owners manual.

You can keep looking but would be very surprised if you come up with something new.
