Just quick thanks for all the advice everyone has given me, seat belts head rests etc. I will be collecting my 1989 Townace to day, the garage has given me, 12 Mts. mot, 6 Mts. tax, 3 Mts. warranty, new boot lock, hand brake cable, front pads, re gassed the Aircon and a full service. Not bad for £1900, other 7-8 seaters were more expensive and worse condition.
I spent a while looking over the townie before I purchased and found very little rust and no sign of filler, I take it this is because it is an import and has not suffered too much with the UK winters and salted roads.

Next thing is get it undersealed, otherwise the salty roads will give you a pile of rust in no time.

Good buy though.
