not long had the townace it is a royal lounge model and been running fine until the other day the tempreture guage is reading normal but there is no heat coming from the blowers can someone help with this problem as we need it for the holidays and i dont want to damage the engine thank

this is just a bit more info. there was no water in the expansion tank or rad but when filled it came out of the expansion tank overflow when engine was running

Ian,
you need to carefully check the cooling system. Loosing coolant out of the expansion tank is a sign that there is a problem.
Get a new float type radiator cap from Toyota, or a cheap after market cap as a temporary measure. Check and replace the thermostat and O ring seal. Make sure that they are Toyota ones because the opening volume is greater.
Check the colour of the coolant, if its black you could be looking at the worst case scenario.
How long before the coolant starts to exit the expansion tank?
Once this problem has been overcome, get an alarm from Dave Mason. The unmodified temperature guage is useless for indicating overheating.
