(Home) Removing viscous for elect

Hi Everyone,

if i remove my visous fan and fit electric fans will i need to fit a smaller fan belt, what else is powered by the viscous fan belt or is it the case that i can do away with the viscous fan and belt.

my ace is in my local garage waiting to have water pump, cam belt, and aLL core plugs renewed,i went to my local car breakers and got a twin elect fan unit from a ford diesel mondeo,my local garage will take out engine to do work to engine and me and my brother will remove viscous fan and fit electric fans, both my rads have been recored plus my engine block will be flushed and pressure checked for leaks, all hoses will be checked.

I am still working on the control circuit's to fan's,
the ford fans only have one speed and i plan to have one fan to operate at 85c and the second to operate at 100c,i am looking for a device that can be fitted and be apart of the cooling system and having 2 stat control settings to control 2 relays,i am also going to install 2 led lights one for each fan then i can see when the fans kick in plus a good temp/clock so i can see how hot the head is getting,as a back up i will install a overide switch in the cockpit where i can turn both fans on if control circuit failed.

i am working on a device that will indicate overfil from rad cap into ex/bottle which would warn you of poss blown head gaskit (operate a 3rd led ) and stop you from cracking head once i am up and running and conducted road trails i will post findings.
