(Home) Front side light - problem changing bulb

Hi,
I'm trying to replace the nearside front side-light bulb. I've undone the screw on the lens, but the cover won't move. I don't want to forcew it in case I break it...is there some knack to it that I don't get, or am I going about it the wrong way?
Any advice welcome!!!
Thanks,
Andy

In addition to my previous message - I had a stereo fitted but don't seem to have any rear speakers working, and I can't get the rear speaker panels off to see if there are any fitted.
Does anyone know if they are fitted as standard, and if not, how difficult is it to fit some - what cables behind the dash should I be looking for?
Thanks for any pointers!
Andy

If it's a pre facelift model (Could be either on a K plate), then the screw comes out as you have done then slide it forward until it disengages the two spiggots it's on, then lift away, refitting reverse of removal.
The speakers may or may not be there, but in a Super Extra I'd expect to see them. Either the fitter hasn't wired them up, or they are not connected between the dash & speakers, they might be missing or blown up. To get the trim off around the boot area, you need to remove rear seats & belt & carefully prise all the clips off the trim to remove it.

Assuming it's held on the same as my older Townace, it should just slide towards the front. Mine is on two prongs that point forward, was on very tight so may take a bit of force to get it off, but don't twist it!
I think the speakers are fitted as standard, has the head unit be adjusted to use them? Should have a connector for eight wires for speakers and an other for the rest of the connections to the head unit.

Re. rear speakers, Clive's almost there. There's a main connector for all power and the front speakers, and an additional plug for the rears. On my Super Extra, there was a seperate loom that ran up the rhs of the car for the rear speakers. I believe it was a dealer-fit extra going by it's routing and construction- looked like two 2-core black mains flexes...

Thanks all for your advice!
I'll persevere with both & let you know how I get on.
