Hi Guys
I have a Liteace, 1992 2l TD 4wd Auto. The engine has developed a heavy knocking noise which sounds like either big or little end failure. No loss of oil pressure though. Had the head off recently to replace gasket. Had it skimmed. pressure tested etc. so reckon the top end is ok. If worst comes to worst will have to remove the engine to strip and overhaul etc. What's the best way to remove it? I have access to an engine hoist/ crane. Can the engine come out through the front doors? If so which one? Or am I best getting someone to drop it from underneath? Would appreciate as much help as possible.
