(Home) Turbo on my Estima lucida

Hi,
I took my perfectly healthy turbo diesel 4wd automatic Estima Lucida to the garage for a timing belt change, oil, air and fuel filter change and a new back exhaust pipe.
Upon return, the turbo no longer cuts in (although both lights come on at ignition) it only changes from 1st gear to second at 3000revs, will not change into any more gears and at 60mph is screaming for a gear change at 4500 revs.
They say it was like it when I took it there (it most definately was not) what have they done to my baby and what do they need to do to fix it?
Any help greatly appreciated

loose boost hose or boost sensing pipe? Kickdown cable need adjusting?
Any fault codes for either engine or tranny?

Thanks to david for the reply, but the mechanic says he has tried everthing and retraced his steps and says he can not find anything he has done wrong. How do I find the onboard display and how do i find the fault codes and what they mean.
Any help greatly appreciated.
