(Home) Door slider

The slider on the door of my model f spacecruiser seems to be missing a little wheel, I suspect. The whole door is dropped down a bit at the back end, and every time I force it open, it is wearing a bit more out of the metal runner set in the body. I don't know what it is supposed to look like, but it isn't right as it is....

Ruan,
The side door is supported by a little wheel bearing thats welded onto a pin about 8mm diameter,at the rear hinge. This runs up and down the track as the door is opened and closed. I don't believe its a replacement item and that you'll have to buy the whole hinge. If you don't replace it soon or protect the slide track the pin will wear grooves in the track. That means your replacement bearing will not run smoothly. In the short term grease the track.Cut a notch in a short piece of wood, place it in the slide and lift the door pin onto it.
I'm in the same boat. So if you get a part No let me know. In the meantime I have a nylon fitting from a sliding patio door over mine. Works quite well actually. Thats why I so slow in replacing it :-)

I had the same problem with my Townace but on the top slider, I priced the part from Toyota & at £17 I thought a bit steep. I went to my local autolec place & got a steel bearing of the right size for £2, this sorted the prob & I've not had any probs since.
