(Home) Still overheating

Hi, my litace 1.8 (1987) has been overheating for ages so we have,
Put twin fans in
Bought new Rad cap,
Flushed System,
Heads Compression tested ok
Checked for leaks and air, but still it over heats doing 100kmph or over 3000 revs.....What else can we do????

Airlock in cooling system?
Radiator flowing free? (unlikely if its 17 yrs old and the rad has never been reconditioned)
Correct thermostat fitted?
Brakes binding?
Ignition timing out?
Are you sure its overheating and not a dodgy temp gauge?
You could also have any sensors feeding the computer checked out (if fitted)
Good luck, 'you only fail when you give up!'

Correct antifreeze mix?

Thanks Guys for you ideas, the acey has a dead spot, and has recently been pre-ignigting, deffinate problem there, it's getting a tune tuesday. I've put in the correct antifreeze mix of 50/50 air locks no, brakes no, but they do need changing, might be dodgy gauge as it can go up and down rapidly and when you open up to have a look it can say cool when you could cook a fry up on her???? Radiator??? Looks ok water free flowing.
I'm going to post a new message about a trip we took in her to chester yesterday which will explain all. However RAC out and says heads might be gone....That's not why she broke down tho.Alternator 25 miles from destination!!! My dad and my husband and I (Mostly dad) Have done the fans etc to keep her going. Dad says sell her, she's even won my husband over. Your last comment chris was really sweet after all we've been thro together the last nearly 2 months we've had her show they're a car of character and in my opinion not worth giving up on! Cheers again guys
