my 2.2t/diesel smokes every time i start it up, and as i pull away i leave a cloud of smoke in my wake ... nice if you don't like your neigbour's but mine are nice ? ok i have changed oil and filter's and still get the smoke please help ....... regard's ian ps; is mine the only one to do this ?

Just a puff at startup?
If you leave the cloud behind nothing major to worry about. If it's constant you have to check if it's burning oil or unburnt Diesel. Smell it you will soon know. Burning oil needs to be investigated as ther may be serious engine problems, although I've seen many a car leaving a James Bond smoke screen up road. Diesel may just mean an adjustment or two.

and thank.s for the info" iwill check to smell next time out . it last's for a couple of yard's or so and then clear's ..it is also a fact , that this can miss a couple of day's and start again? oil level ok all the time diesel consumption is fine use's a little water but nothing i would worry about! i will take on board what you have said , and keep you posted
