(Home) Deserter buying Cherokee

Hi All,

I believe that my first farewell went astray so I'll take this opportunity to thank you all for the help I received in the past. I have now P/Xd my Townace and bought a 4X4 Jeep Cherokee 2.5 TD. Living in Snowdonia we really need a vehicle with a bit of power otherwise we get stuck behind HGV's for a long time without the pick up speed to overtake.
We enjoyed the Townie and miss the views and the comfort. We still wave or flash at the Townies that we meet, it is a great community. Wishing you all well.
Special thanks to John Davis, Ian Dunse, and to you David Miller for all the help and understanding !

I still visit this site very often.

Regards Wyn

Wyn,

at least you can say that you was a townie and sounds like at heart you still are.
all the best

Wyn, thanks for your courteous message. Yes, in your area, as I found with a loaded Masterace on that long slog from Llangollenn through to Bangor, you do need a bit more "beef" than the 2C-T engine can provide and, now that you have a 2.5 TD, it should make all the difference. I am sure that by your past ownnership of the Townace, and contributing to and accessing this BOK, it should also help in understanding the complexities of the Jeep diesel. Happy motoring.

Thanks for the kind words Wyn. Sorry we didn't quite meet up when you were over in Bakewell. Hope you don't need many more trips to the hospital.
