Thats awful Jon. I've been pricing rear door glass and searching scrap yards so I know how costly these are. I need a new rear window, but as I don't know the history of the van, and don't know how it will behave and run, I'm reluctant to spend a lot of cash out at the moment. I've got some PVC, the sort you do double glazing with, but external type to replace the window with. Only cost me £34 from the local DIY, and it will do the job till I see if the van is worthy of keeping and buying a window for. Won't be able to use the rear wiper cos of scratching the plastic, but that won't matter. Being a lorry driver, I don't often use the rear veiw mirror or back window out of habit. Hope you find a replacement soon. And I hope the window breaks when the thief fits it in his motor!!! x

My Liteace is the one where the glass comes quite a way down the door and there is a cut out on the glass for the wiper. My chappie says to stick to the plastic for now while I get it up and running, and while I find the other bits and pieces I need. Just to see how it goes. He has just taken the seats and rear carpet out for me so I can get the van and carpets dried as it got pretty wet whilst in the scrapyard with no window in. I'm gobsmaked at this point. A 1989 motor, it has no rust at all on the floor, the wheel arches are still shiny! I'll look for a window later, but thanks for the info Jon. Hope all goes well with yours. x
