I get a clatering noise on the over run when I take my foot of the throtal but it dose go when I take it out of gear and free wheel any ideas. Town ace 2.2 t/d manual 3ct.

Driving with the passenger seat up may help locate the source of the noise.
On the over-run many of the forces within the engine and the transmission are in the opposite direction. The engine will lean, as far as its mountings will permit, towards the passenger side, so maybe the tips of the fan can touch something then?
Does it occur at all when you rev the engine then let it drop back to idling, with the car stationary in neutral?
