(Home) In need of a front crank shaft pulley

Im looking for a front crank shaft pulley for a 2.0 turbo townace, automatic. I've basically got a garage fitting a new time belt and in the process of trying to get the pulley off, the cast iron pulley has broke.any information will be good.Graham

I trust the garage is paying? Common cause of breakage is failing to use the correct puller for removal...
You might have fun getting a s/h one, it's a common fault. New ones are £££. Need year, model code and whether fitted with aircon to order replacement.

Graham. Is yours the older, single groove or the later double groove pulley? I might be able to help with a single groove type

Graham,
Pulley for 2ct with double belt alternator and air con all running on bottom pulley is about £190 from Toyota.
Check out the breakers in Exchange and Mart or Autocar. I got one delivered to NI from south England for about £90 including woodrift key, bolt and washer.
Would recommend you use a new bolt - about £2.50 from toyota. Toyota Camry uses the same pulleys.

there is a jap car breakers in manchester of junction 21 m62 called international car spares TEL: 0161 626 0752 they have a few townaces, and they supplied a bottom pulley for mine quite recently at a cost of £117.00 inc vat.
A lot cheaper than Toyota who wanted £190.00 plus vat.
hope this helps
