could someone please tell me where on a model f the cooling system termostat is

look at front of engine up near top,the top hose should lead you directly to it,the stat housing should have 2 bolts holding it together,

help do you mean where you fill the radiator as i have removed the housing and it is empty

sometime people remove the stat from the cooling system if the engine over heats and this is due to them not finding the problem to why the engine is over heating in the first place,it could be the rad is part blocked and they need more flow to keep the temp down,who knows ? the stat housing looks like a small dome and inside you will see the seating for the stat.

sorry ruth you say you got model F on my townace the thermostat housing is part of the water inlet metal pipe that bolts on the the cylinder block by 2 bolts torque setting 75 kg-cm / 65in-lb ,not sure about model F

remove the housing that the bottom rad hose connects to on the engine block the thermostat is held inplace by the housing.
