(Home) Owner writes - Ode to the ace

An original poem, inspired by the heartbreak of the untimely demise of a much-loved 1987 Super Extra 4x4, and the discovery of New Love with a 1990 Liteace 4x4...

(Apparently it bears some resemblance to a poem about daffodils, but how can some poncy yellow flowers hold a candle to the magnificent Ace?)

ODE to the ACE

I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and places,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden townaces;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Parked and shining in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I as I gazed,
Their perfectly paintwork softly blazed.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What cost the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on the seats I lie
In vacant or in pensive mein,
They flash upon that inward eye
And make my heart beat fast again;
And then my heart with pleasure races,
And dances with the many Aces.

Yep, sounds like the beginings of a new romance Tom.
The liteace is obviously inspirational, well done!
