after fitting new rad cap water pump and thermostat the beast still over heated until i noticed a smooth area on bottom rad pipe (which was the problem)at least i managed a service with the help i obtained from here

what was the smooth area and how did it make her over heat ? it may be of interest to others. any way you have given her a service ready for summer and sometimes you find other problems which and lay hidden
like me i spent £1350 to fix 4 leaks.

the smooth area was caused by a cable rubbing over a period of time my hubby noticed it because the same happened on his car .under pressure this area became porrose and leaked .it looked like a shinny area on lower rad pipe ,when i removed it and hubby put his compressor on it the hole showed in matter of seconds
