We have just recently bought a 1994 Townace 2.2TD ( a 3 CT engine). Coolant seems to be leaking away and also oil residue coming from head gasket area. As I am not very mechanically minded I would like someone to tell me if this definitely means that the head gasket needs replacing. If so is it a big job and roughly how much would it cost to get a mechanic to do this? Also if anyone knows of a good townace mechanic in Northern Ireland (Belfast area) it would be much appreciated. hi there. cant really help you with mechanic over there but im in stranraer and have got damn good garage does my work for me in glasgow! if you need bits spares etc let me know as may have a royal lounge up for grabs very soon repairs/spares. cheers and good luck
