(Home) Front ventilation blower slow

front inside fan

just took out resistor and it looked like something had melted across spring's it had 3 spring's and each spring had 2 electrical connections and i think i might of damaged it by not handling the resistor with care,so my next question is,where can i get a replacement or new resistor, any part numbers for this resistor

Clive

Many thanks, just been talking to Dave at Wight Motors
and gave them the part no 8808-9201 they told me it was too short and they gave me a part no 87138-87010
they said that i will have to be sure as no refund for this part cost £22 + vat + pp, so i said i will post it on bok and see if i can get it confirmed if this is the right part number for heater resistor behind glove box in the air duct (4x4 masterace 1989)

Dennis. I had the same trouble and, it was the switch.
It's fairly easy to get out and you will find that it is a semi dismantable unit, ie, the usual plastic clips, though at first glance it looks like a sealed unit. There is a ball & spring which keeps the contacts together and, in my case, the spring had failed and, also, the contacts were gummed up.
