(Home) Noises

just brought a townace royal lounge h reg, with a toad immobiliser, before we brought it the chap changaed the battery, ever since then we have had an ahigh pitch warning noise going constantly and all the "idiot" lights stay on, this stops if we take out the starter relay, so got new relay, but still making noise. Been advised not to drive. Been told its not the immoboliser, have got it booked in at toyota garage for tec test at end of month, but am reluctant to do this. any ideas cos i'm itching to drive it!!

Which battery car or alarm?
Do you have an over ride fob thingy?
I'm thinking along the lines of the alarm needing resetting or that you are not de-activating the alarm correctly.

chap changed car battery. Alarm a ok, no problems with that at all.
had tech test at toyota garage, they said all ok to drive without this relay (situated on right under glove box).
Now this weekend (after buying tax)actually got to drive it!! drove about 20 miles, best drive ever!! got home went out again about 2hrs later battery flat as pancake!!!(drove without relay- its like torture driving with it in!!) anyone with any ideas?

I've got the same model and never heard such a noise with mine. Is your immobiliser a combined alarm as well? I would be inclined to let a TOAD installer take a look at it.

Has your Townie got a 'lights left on buzzer'? I have been told that some immobiliser/alarm systems can cause problems with the lights left on buzzer. If the alarm is wired into your door switches then it might cause the lights left on buzzer to constantly buzz. I have a Royal Lounge and I had my lights left on buzzer disconected. Have had no problems with the immobiliser/alarm. HTH.
