In the past i have read postings from some owners for info on availability of awnings for the townace.
I have just bought an awning for mine and it FITS!!!
It is made by dorema and is called the Highlander.
Dorema make these for vans and custom built motor homes. Mine cost me £250 through a friend of mine who has a caravan repair business. The awning is free standing and the four legs are heigh t adjustable and has a roll down or zip out front, a zip door on either side and a zip in back panel. securing to the vehicle is by a plastic clip fitting which clips to the gutter rail. Although not as big as a caravan awning there is plenty of room for a double bed.
By the way my baby went through the MOT yesterday with emissions at 1.8%, after adding an additive called diesel magic, only one small bottle. wonderful stuff!!

Is this "diesel magic" easily available?

Where did you buy it?

Diesel Magic from Comma Oils, available at any outlet that sells Comma Oils

This is available from any good motorist centre and is a favourite in the taxi fraternity, and costs £5.95 per bottle but it was worth every penny.

The Dorema awning is £375 on their web sitr www.dorema.co.uk don't know if that included vat and p&p. Having just been given a new (to me) tent in exchange for squirting Waxoyl under a Townace, I'll stick to that for now.

- (#10271) Clive, 23 Apr 04 07:16

The tent or the Townace?

- (#10271) dave Bright, 23 Apr 04 07:49

No the Waxoyl!

My awning was through a friend in the trade but even so £375 does sound a mite expensive clive. My friend assures me that any caravan dealer will strike a bargin and give a good discount for cash.
