help, someone is coming around in half and hour to look at my townace, as well as a flat battery and usual overheating problems it is stuck in park gear and i can't move it, any advice is appreciated.

This advice might be a bit late for you David and, also, I might not be correct but I think that with a flat battery there is probably no power to unlock the inhibitor switch, ie, key in the "ignition" and your foot on the brake. Perhaps someone else can confirm or correct this theory.

Yep that's the problem and the solution is that little red button by the gearstick! press that and it will release the stick from park
