(Home) New owner just bought a townace...delighted with it

Just bought a townace on friday, my wife and i and the four sprogs are delighted with it. With being six foot six, legroom in most vehicles is sparce. I tried a galaxy and a zafira and both were very uncomfortable for someone of my size, but the moment i tried the townace it fittec like a glove and the kids love it. Anyway enough rambling i have a few questions for you kind people to help me with! firstly iam not sure what type of townace mine is. the chassis no comes up at June 1991 and it is a 2litre turbo diesal automatic without four wheel drive! is it a Royal Lounge (as i keep seeing this name around the website)? question 2 there is a pipe that seems to drip water behind the drivers front wheel what is this and do i need to keep topping it up? question three, why does tesco online insurance have only one model of townace which is a five door when my townace is only 4 doors..? thanks in advance for any help you can give with these questions, as i wont be able to reply for a week as iam taking kids to Pathelly for a holiday! hope the Townace lasts the Pace!!

Welcome to the Ace Community!

Is there a badge on the tailgate to say what your model is? Super Extra, Surf, Royal Lounge perhaps.
The dripping pipe near the battery tray is from the rear aircon. You've found that toy then! Just leave it, it shows that it is working ok. Can't say about Tesco or any other insurance databases - they seem to live in a world of their own.

Unlikely that you will, very scarce. Your missus any good with a sewing machine?

Numeracy skills are dying out. I think it's as simple as "if it's got a tailgate it's 5-door". I've tried telling my insurer it has four. As it hasn't even got a bonnet/hood, console yourself that they're counting the fuel-filler door.
