(Home) Chrome body trim

My Wife has managed to scrape the chrome trim that is in the body moulding above the rear wheel arch of our 1989 4x4 Royal Lounge. How do I remove this trim in order to replace it? I don't want to force it in case I damage something else. And has anybody got a spare trim in mint condition that they could let me have?
Thanks. Bill.

The chrome strip is a slide in fit. The plastic trim is bolted from the inside and clips on the outside, you have to remove the interior trim to get at the nuts.

Thanks Clive. I have managed to remove the chrome strip
from the plastic trim. I contacted BBC Spares for the price of a new strip. Bill at BBC Spares said that he would have to get it from Japan at a cost of about £50.00. This price seems a bit steep. Does this seem right? He has got the compleat moulding compleat with chrome trim in stock but I don't want to buy a compleat moulding unless I have to because it is only the chrome trim that is damaged on my Townie. Does anybody know of any Townie in a scrap yard that still has its chrome body moulding trim?
