can any one help solve the mystery. Ordered replacment ball joints from BBC spares. When arrived did not match ones on vehichle. BBC spares believes should be the same as a townace of the same year 1991, a horseshoe shaped joint. Has any one any expereince of anything different or where we mightbe able to source the front lower ball joint for a masterace surf 4wd 1991 model?

yes, sounds like bill has sent out a 2wd joint. the 4wd one has a solid, rhombus- shaped base... the item you're looking for is handed, too. about £50 each from the dealer, not sure about pattern ones.
