Folks, There is an F-Reg Liteace, apparently abandoned in a lay-by, up here in sunny Scotland. It has been there for at least a week, and now has a "Police Aware" sticker on its rear window, so it will probably get towed away pretty soon. It looks to be in reasonably good condition (apart from the offside mirror and ignition cowling which both look to be smashed up). It would be awful if it ended up being trashed by idiots, or towed away and crushed, so if anyone has had one stolen recently, and can tell me the correct Reg no. then I'll give you the exact location.

It sounds very like a stolen van. You could go and see the police and express an interest in it, should the owner not come forward. You could offer to store it pending the possibility of an owner coming forward to collect it, in order to protect it from the scavengers or yobs that like to smash things up. If they don't go for it, it may just get towed away and scrapped.
