(Home) Still overheating

I am really stuck with this one, please!!!!!

I have a Spacecruiser G reg Auto - new water pump, new thermostat, new filler cap, some new hoses, flushed sytem through with lots of stuff, holts and halfords stuff. The negine purrs, runs like a dream. When I am gliding along the temperature gauge goes up to almost the red bit, never did that before. If I put the heater on to full blast, nice hot air comes out and the temp goes down a bit (just a little bit). When I stop and turn the engine off, lots of noise, bubbling and gurgling sounds and I loose about an eggful cup of water from the over flow. There is no water in the oil or oil in the water. The exhaust is clean as a whistle, no white smoke and it has just passed its MOT with this problem. In fact did not get picked up on anything at MOT. So what next, anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it please.

really need to fix this soon, holiday coming up with three kids, two dogs and loads of luggage, really need the wagon to be running ok.

Does your Spacecruiser have a viscious fan or is it electric....

Yes, It does, and I have probably come to the conclusion that it is not working properly. Do you know where I can get a replacement one or a good electric one.

I had exactly the same problem with my Townie 2.0 litre EFI. The problem was a partialy blocked radiator. Run your engine and check to see if the radiator is hot on all its surface. It should be an even temperature. Also check your fan is running as it should. Have the seat up while you are driving and you should be able to tell if the fan is running as it should. HTH.

Have been told that the electric fan off a 214 rover fits pretty good or a twin fan unit off a granada, not sure how you wire the electrics..
