dose anyone know someone around the rotherham area who can change a cam belt on a 1990 townace 2.0td auto and how much. thanks.

try ace autos in pontefract , ask for gareth nichols , he has done a few . or you could do your own like i did last week - all the help you need is here

If you have the engine manual. Code RMO25E, the cambelt change is quite straightforward and, a DIY job does save a lot of money. Average garage charges seems to be around £120-£175 but, with a new belt costing less than £20, and about one day's work, the saving is very worthwhile. Also, the procedure, with the floor pan out, does allow many other things to be checked, something which a garage is not likely to do.

from your toyota dealer. if your rotherham dealer won't help then try either gordon lamb or monty's motors in sheffield. both are usually very helpful. price is about £8.95.
