Hi, can anyone tell me how easy is it to fit a towbar to a 1990 royal lounge 2wd diesel. I have fitted tow bars before but not one with the spare wheel in the way. many thanks Craig.

Have a look on Ace Answers. I fitted one to a Spacecruiser dead easy.

The towbar for a townace royal lounge appears to be a one sided affair. Just had one fitted by a mobile fitter took him four hours and he had to dismantle the rear bumper and take out the metal fixing. It appears to fix on on the left side only as to avoid the spare wheel etc. The fella who did mine is from the Manchester area and he said he would never do another one. Is your townie the CR21 model it should be on your vin plate Mine is that particular one but is 1993 model of the later design

Hi,
I have a 1989 2ltr spacecruiser which keeps over heating, then dumps the water out so I have to keep topping up, Head gasket appears ok, new radiator fitted. I belive its a broken thermostat which I was going to fit until I found where it was....!!!!!
Two questions does it sound like the themostat & is it as difficult as it seems to fit a new one..???
Also where can I get a towbar....???
