Can anyone recomend other cars that have the same parts as the Townace. I am pretty new to the Townace scene and understand that the liteace is very similar. But how about engines? 2C-T in particular?

Townace Liteace - running gear much the same just body exterior and interior different.
2C-T fitted to several Toyotas, engine spares do not appear to be a problem to obtain. Electrics may be a different matter, any other bits or mostly ordered from Japan, if you are ever have to order from Japan don't forget to say that the Ace is off the road. Toyota don't like laid up cars and rush the parts through.
Thought about going to an Ace Jam and getting to see the different models close up?

Jason,
There are many common parts between the Townace and the Liteace. Body styling between these vehicles can be different or remarkably similar. So there are external differences.
I have seen a vehicle identified as a Townace that seems identical to my Liteace from the outside - Weird !!
Certainly there are internal furnishings that are common. Also the 2ct engine is a common feature.
the Toyota 2.2D Camry engine also has common features.i.e.head but not camshaft pulley.

It's interesting and helpful to hear.

Think I might have a look as similar vehicles and get some workshop books.
I have just picked up a Townace that had a blown radiator (now fixed) and is overheating now...
I am looking forward to getting it fixed ASAP and using it for weekend getaways, as I promised my wife.
Very impressed with the design and want to fix it up well mechanically for lots of use.
