My auto box is playing up and needs to be flushed its dark and grotty. I need to drop the box sump and clean it. Question

1. Clean with what - Petrol?

2. where do i get a new gasket?

Steve, Id clean it with lint free rag(s).
New Gasget is a main dealer part, or you could use a good qaulity silicone gasget sealer, long as you dont use too much and get globs of it on the inside when you bolt it back it will be ok.
Beware you make sure you get the oil level right. I set mine about 3 qaurters the way up the dipstick and on level ground after selecting all the gears twice.
It is qiute sensitive to low levels.
I changed mine, ran it for a few weeks and changed it again - dextron 2 , its been much better since
