(Home) Suspension & turbo

recently posted "leaning tower of townace". n/s rear wheel arch to wheel gap about 3cm lower than o/s. checked damper on low side, appears to travel smoothly through its' entire length. takes a bit of pressure to get it fully up and about 5secs to fully expand on its' own. suspected weak spring, so replaced both rear springs, thanks to jason in s.wales breaking a townie, no difference, except to my wallet;-( suspension components don't appear to be bent or damaged, any ideas. i'm going to swap dampers over to see if this makes a difference, but then i'm at the end of my knowledge.
also, quickie regarding turbos. lads in work with turbo cars talk about turbo lag, or feeling the turbo kick in. i don't notice this, green led comes on/off etc, but no noticable sudden boost. it seems to accelerate and respond as well as i would expect for such a heavy vehicle, is this normal?
thanks

Not sure about suspension but with diesels you tend not to get turbo lag that you will notice, usually only on petrol engines, the sign of a good turbo is constant boost across the whole rev range...

Fronts out causing the rear to react?
Springs seated correctly?
Offside shock not contracting?

Turbo lag/delay -turbo does not start to boost until 1,700-2,000 rpm that's the lag i.e. not instant boost as you would find in a Porsche 911!

thanks clive, i hadn't thought of o/s shock holding that side up, although it does seem to bounce quite well. i'll strip that side and check it. i'll also check front o/s in case that is up..... more work this weekend ;-(
