(Home) Space cruiser fuel pump

Hi, great site, thanks - wish I'd found it sooner! I'm converting my '89 space cruiser model F (carb, 3Y engine) to LPG & I'm trying to understand the fuel system: there seem to be two small pipes from the fuel tank, one goes up to the filler pipe as a breather, the other disappears into a cross member. I assume that the fuel pump is mechanical & located low down near the front offside of the engine block? Is there a return to the tank/pump from the carb?
I'd really appreciate any advice/manual extracts/pictures please.

Yes the fuel pump is mechanical. No return that I know of although the manual shows 2 pipes coming out from the sender in addition to the breather going up to the filler neck, so I could be wrong. Maybe Clive can shed more light on it.

I'll send you the scanned carb section in the morning (don't have the bandwidth at home).

I've gone a litle hazy on this -
I think there is a link to the round thingy under the air filter box? What that does I don't know - a vent of some sort? The vent to the filler only helps with fuel delivery. The manual is not much help either.
The pump is in between the dizzy and the dip stick on a 3Y engine.
