How many planning on camping on the stand?

Paul are you going to bring the caravan?
And what about a lawn mower in case we are next to the Jaguar stand again?

- (#11807) Clive (Bristol), 29 Jun 04 16:15

is there a max size of tent to camp on stand
- (#11807) jon, 29 Jun 04 23:44

The problem with the stand is that you have to de-camp by 10 a.m., so while there is no size restriction bear that in mind. Health and safety is the reason as the paying public could find camping equipment a health hazard. Although there were plenty of tents up from Friday to Sunday morning, so perhaps we can get away with it, if we make camp wagon train style? Better still has anyone who is coming got some form of mobile fencing, a few stakes and some bunting ? Worked for the Jaguar stand last year.

whats with the jaguar stand last year the misses wants to know

- (#11807) jon, 30 Jun 04 10:40

The North Wales Jaguar Car Club arrived mid after noon Friday. The Woodvale car show organisors had marked the field out with marker paint plus the stand code, Ace Stand was A5 or summut like that. The Jag lot paced the stand out put up fencing and started to mow the grass. OK it was a little long but soon trod down. Then mow the grass again and you guessed it..upto 10 ish. Then guess what at 7 in the morning, mowed the grass. This was with a big petrol mower so not only that noise but lots of shouting to get the tramlines straight! They also put up a marquee, which was safe as it had a fence around it, and they could park two Jags in it to save the chamois and waxing in the morning. After cutting the grass the flowers came out......they got second prize for presentation of the stand.
Note unless Paul has entered us we are not being judged for anything.

did they shove artificial flowers in the ground or real ones in plant pots and shall we bring our own and put window boxes on the aces

If you want to do something with the stand please send idears here so we can all have a look...
I don't mind !!
As for my Caravan....it's gone...had to sell, I nowhere to store it.
I've still got my big Jap flag...
can anybody get a toyota flag or banner ?
also....if you have any parts etc that you wish to sell/part-x swap etc ,,,do bring them along...if you wish list them on here first to see if anybody needs them...

I'm away on holiday on sat 3rd to 10th july so Clive will keep tabs for me.......

regards
Paul

I was just thinking as there may be several tents, if it was fenced off there should be no problem with safety.
Yes the plants were real, two window boxes and many pots!
I should have a few spares left after Bridport. I will also bring some alternative MWVO Diesel fuel oil (modified chip shop oil) for sale at a special rate. I may have a few screen banners, see acefleetdave's site for a look see, may have some engine manuals rad caps and grease nipples as well if they are not sold this weekend. There is also the chance that I could bring some Mason Alarms, email me if you are interested in an alarm by tonight as I'll be seeing Dave Mason over the weekend. Email me if you are interested in some oil so I have an idea of how much to bring.
Don't forget to change the -at- in the addy.
