(Home) Fitting captain seats in cruiser, will they fit

Hi Dave,Clive, Ian.
Does any of you know that,if I take out middle row of seats from SpaceCruiser will a set of captains seats fit straight in ,are the mounts in the same place??.
Or will I have probs.
Please advise
Many Thanks

I would hazzard a guess that they are a direct fit.
If not it is just a matter of drilling, and perhaps putting a strengthening plate in, and bolting up. The only draw back would be the fitting over the fuel tank, which would need to be dropped.
Best of luck.

Yes, fuel tank on one side and the mounting holes go into the cross member across both sides. There are two sets of 4 holes either side. That's not the same for the bench seats is it? Sounds like a lot of work to me.

As an alternative, could you fashion a frame bolted to the existing mounts and fix the new seats on that?

Sorry bad hair day (again), I read and typed captains seats but it still did not register.
Bench seat and single seat as per Spacecruiser should be interchangable, they rotate also.
The single captains seats may present a problem, but as Ian suggests a simple mounting frame should resolve this.

Well, it looks like the same floor pan is used for CR21 &30 in trims G,E,Q, so that should be both 6 and 8 seaters. I'll venture that the L/h seats interchange as they're both singles, but the only way to be sure whether loadsa work is needed on the drivers side would be to lift the carpet and look for a set of mountings matching the passenger's side...
