(Home) Seats

Can anyone tell me how to swivel the seats in the back of my townace I can see the levers but have not a clue how to get them to move I have had my car 4 years and only just seen these 2 levers. I have arthritis in my hands so find it difficult to grip so any advice will be welcome.

Pull the lever and push or pull the backrest once it has started to move you can let go of the lever. You may need to slide the seat back or forward to allow it to rotate.
As they have not moved in a while they may need a bit of extra effort.

Yes the levers and the seats may be very stiff from lack of use.
On my 7-seater the two captain's seats in the middle row have "swivel" levers at the side. You move the lever horizontally, towards the backrest. The seat only swivels through half a circle so you need to know which way to push it. Don't sit in the seat to do this ... whilst holding the lever back you always swivel the seat by moving the backrest towards the middle of the car - whether you start with it facing forwards or facing backwards. In one direction this is awkward because you're pushing the lever one way and the seat the other.

... and you have to move the big seat first (through 90 degrees only), which allows you to twist the little seat all the way round, then complete the manoeuvre moving the the big seat the remaining 90 degrees.

I always forget how to do this - we only have middle seats facing forward for long runs twice a year - but basically the system works very well. The japanese handbook does have a little diagram, amidst a lot of (to me) indecipherable script. Worth a look.
