Call me stupid but is a town ace just a dressed up lite ace?

i am hatching an importation plan.

Depends on the age/model I think.

Circa 1988 - 91 they were definitely different animals. Same engines but the Liteace was noticeably smaller and different in looks front and back. I believe with the models after this the Townace was referred to a liteace and the look kind of 'merged'.

No doubt someone with a newer model will put me right.

Front lights - headlights different shape, side and indicators completly different.
Rear - reversing lights in the tailgate on a Townie (old shape) not on the wing nor is the rear fog light.

Entire front end - bumper hangers may need some re-working, and lights rewired/re-routed - as long as the width is the same I guess, and note guess, it should fit with a little luck, some swearing and lots of skin off of your knuckles!
The question is why?

the thing is that there are more than just a few front ends on these things!

and when all is said and done anything is possible with a bit of cutting, a bit of bending....... ;^)
