Hi, we are new to the townace "scene", we bought one, which we knew had a smoke problem.
Initially the smoke was thick, accrid black smoke. We removed the injectors had them cleaned, and hey presto no more black smoke, hurrah!
Now theres a sort of greyish coloured smoke. Is this normal or do we have something major to worry about.
We know it needs an exhaust could it be that??
Would be grateful for any advice.

Is it a constant plume of smoke or only on start up and the odd bit on acceleration?
May need the timing/fuel volume/pump adjusted.
If it is more blue than grey then likely to be burning oil!

thanks for that.
the smoke seems to be on start up and acceleration. When its idleing it fine, sounds great.
We did notice quite a build up of black gunk in the pipe that leads to the air filter though, any relation to the problem you think??

Have you changed air and fuel filters?
Have a look at Ace Answers Archive for Faults Smoke, loads of posts there and many suggestions how to fix.
