HI All
I am having a problem with my 1988 EFI townace .recently i had the fuel filter changed due to it not starting at all (as was suggested by guys on this forum THANKS!)The problem seemed to be solved ,unfortunately another one has started ,related i think .Now it will sometimes start and others it takes a few attempts and when it does start if you give it some gas the engine falters and almost stalls ,it is driveable but only if you dont press to hard on the gas after changing gear and only accelerate gently .
Also (it never ends!) there has developed a clicking noise from the offside front wheel as you take a right hand corner.i presume this is the wheel bearings or swivel joint of some sort ,the bus is not 4wd

Fuel starvation? Have you checked the diagnostics for any errors? Could be a failed sensor that is effecting fuelling.

The clicking noise could be the steering ball-joint but you will need to get the wheel off and check everything to be sure.
