(Home) Jam 2004 Woodvale #B is over

Thanks to all who turned up, the ones with comp' tickets & the ones who paid full price at the gate,
We had a very good turn out of the differant Aces, The best so far ! 15 turned up on Sunday, It stayed fine until about 4:30 when it rained for about 10 mins,
there was plenty to see & do at the Rally with a total of approx 2000 differant cars in there clubs, Clive was kept busy with his chip fuel & temp alarms, We had a lot of intrest from the public in our Buses, with people who have just got an Ace now informed of the web group.

I hope the others who where there will write in with there views & hope to see more of you next year 2005..
I hope every body arrived home safe & well..

Regards to all

Paul

I had a great time at woodvale and meeting people who have help me through this site with jess becoming a new crazy bear star, beanie loving looking at the cars and motorbikes and the two lads went of and done what ever two lads do jess was very upset that is was time to leave
going down the m6 the mrs said to stop to change nappy when she got out she said she could smeel burning rubber I had a hot whell phoned out the aa one fo the clips on the break pad had slipped and was rubbing the wheel fixed and carried on whent a few more miles and the car started to overheat managed to get to a moterway service station filled up with water and all semmed ok managed to get off the m6 with 30miles to go and overheated again check again and the exspansion tank was full but no water in engine
topped up and got hame hooray (have now watched jess`s crazy bear video 3 times)

thanks paul for arranging it!, we had a great time, sorry we didn't get to talk much to the other ace owners, but there was just too much to do at the rally!
definately going next year and this time i'll make both days!
kids were confused, they didn't know which car to get into!!!
sorry to hear about your problems jon, hope it doesn't prove to be too serious!!

Thanks Paul for making it happen....had a great time (boy was it hot!). Kids getting in the wrong car Eddie?....saw one grown up making the same mistake too!
Certainly getting a tent for next year so we can stop the whole weekend....little boy was just getting into the swing of things with the other kids when it was time to go home and get him to bed.
If anyone wants to burn up the airstrip in the evening next year...I will be up for that...no donuts or handbrake turns though....the tyres and parts cost too much for such a brief thrill!....now a fleet of aces doing (or trying to do)the quarter mile would be worthy of any home video yes?
I would have come Sunday too..but unfortunately was not capable of waking up until the afternoon.
Hope your repairs are not too painful Jon.
Look forward to the full weekend next year....'all the best' to those we passed time with...and to those we didn't...catch you next time!

Thanks Paul, hope you get some new bits from the hospital, just say you will be off road and they will rush them through!
Burn up the runway done that, even let my two boys have a go, them heart tablets work well! I asked the Marcos owner if he wanted a race but he chickened out.
Good to meet you, and as I say names spill out of my head, but if you state what Ace model I may be able to put a face to the name. Ok Jon I'll remember you 2nd Ace Jam Spacecruiser!
I did pick the door up in Blackpool, after finding I only had the postcode and road name, no owners name or house number, and got to the Travelodge without mishap. Blackpool was having a summer shower when we got there, no problem had a great time. Drive home was quicker than the one up and the boys were trying the accents out from you lot up North.
My trip meter is reading 790 and not got the low level light on yet, going to break the 800 kms for one fill up this time!

The manuals were from Dave Bright so thanks to him!
No oil left - result!
Four alarms sold - result for Dave Mason.
I know it is only Tuesday but I've forgotten most of your names - it makes me so cross, my staff have a laugh about it but I get so frustrated! I suspect I spoke to Eddie and did not realise it was you?
See you all at a Jam next year.
Clive

Really enjoyed Woodvale, company and the vehicles, Megs and Kieran enjoyed it too, my Townie was like a kindergarten on Saturday, and although planning to come back alone on Sunday, Megs wouldn't let me - 2nd generation Townie fan!! Sorry to hear about the problems Jon, hope they fix easily, glad you made it home ok with the kids. Will e-mail you with the phone number Steuart. Trying to organise another meet at Tatton Park Classic vehicle show on 21-22 Aug (see other posting . . . please e-mail me if interested) but been trying for 2 days to get in touch with the guy who deals with the car clubs and as he works and apparently does other things it isn't easy at the moment, but I'll keep trying and let all know further details as I have them. Many thanks again to all who searched for Megs when she got herself lost on Sunday dinner in the throng of people and specially to Helen (hope I've got the name right) who found her in the First Aid tent. Still find it hard to conceive that she lost herself when only yards away . . . hope she's learned her lesson about wandering off!! Lost about 10 lbs and aged 10 years on that one :-(
Keith, Andy's still being fobbed off by the garage doing his engine . . . promised again Mon to start it but still hadn't yesterday, he's really thinking of bringing it back home and biting the bullet - rebuilding it himself and would appreciate any photos or info from any brave owners who have managed it!!
Regards to all, John
