Go to www.townace.com, via the Ace Answers link at the top of this forum if you want.

There is a Jams button where I try to keep a current summary but there's nothing definite at the moment (anyone let me know if there should be more there)

Go on into the Ace Archives and all the details are under "Jam..." in the Ownership folder.

Yes I spend quite a lot of hours on it too.

I think you're going to be a bit of a pioneer as a 1999 Townace owner but there'll be a lot of interest if you bring it to a Jam.

If you can take some pictures and send them to the email address I've used for this posting, then I'd be pleased to publish them so that the rest of us know what we're missing.

Nice to see you still have a sense of humour Dave. How is your engine rebuild coming on?

Provided it doesn't rain all the time it should be ready for a Jam next year. Having another car means I can fit in my family, day job, Ace Answers work, and a couple of hours each day delving into my 2CT.

It's only 11 days since I lifted the "bonnet" and so far I've only spent £86 - I guess I'm getting a big payback personally from the website now. Getting the right replacement piston is going to be the big challenge.

Well a lot depends on time for me, but it looks like the masterace may not have a broken engine. I need to reassemble the whole thing and get the MOT done. It does have a smoke problem, and I am fearfull that it might have a similar problem to yours. If it all goes well, and there is nothing wrong with the engine, I will still have the spare one. It has overheated through a totals loss of coolant, but it should be good for a whole set of pistons, if you need it and I don't.

Will send picks to you next week Dave. S.
