I have failed the MOT on kmy high beam not working it flashes high beam but wont come on when pulled toward you . Any thoughts doI have to replace the whole stick unit and if so any body know somone breaking a G reg townace super Extra?? many thanks for any help

Try spraying WD40 or switch cleaner initially...on older vehicles a collection of fluff, dust, skin etc. can build up in there and foul the contacts.....

Be careful if using WD40 - I tried this on a Triumph Spitfire recently. The spark from the switch contacts when turned on set fire to the whole thing. Luckily I managed to douse it quickly and no serious damage was done !!!!!

Guess that would be the propellant gas??....give it time to disperse before trying the switch....
